Dr. Angie Untisz

I grew up in the Cleveland, Ohio area and spent as much time outdoors as possible.  I decided to become a veterinarian late in high school when my first horse developed a sole abscess.  The intense veterinary and nursing care she needed opened my world to the wonders of medicine and the miracle ofhealing.I graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987.  I practiced in Florida for three years where I became focused on preserving the human-animal bond.  After moving to Oregon, I got my first dog, an Australian Cattle Dog, and started on the fantastic journey of training and trialing working stock dogs.  I have a strong interest in canine athletes and a fondness for cantankerous kitties.  Enjoying the “art” of veterinary medicine as much as the science, I treat each patient as if they were my own.  I currently have four Border Collies and compete in national level sheep dog trials.
